The board recognized two Jacksonville High School students on Feb. 18 after Principal Joey Dion introduced Band Teacher LaSalle and Choir Teacher Solterman.
Teachers told the board that Hannah Warren was selected to sing second soprano and Ivan Shade was selected for percussion at the Illinois Music Education Conference, and that 'only the highest performing students in the state are selected to perform and this year JHS had two students selected to attend.' The board offered congratulations; there was no public comment regarding the recognition.
