President Kent Jackson opened the meeting and the board took a roll-call vote to approve the consent agenda, which included minutes, budget and treasurer reports, approval of bills, a Greenville University agreement and a suite of updated Head Start plans (ERSEA, monitoring, data management, family involvement and other program plans). "Motion by Reynolds, seconded by Blok, to approve all items under Consent Agenda, as presented," the minutes record; the motion carried with Daniels and Flanigan recorded as absent.
Superintendent Ryan Swan presented the annual budget amendment, explaining that May is the regular month to reconcile receipts, expenditures and fund balances. Swan recommended making the amendment available for public inspection and scheduling a hearing; the board voted to display the amended FY25–26 budget and set the Amended Budget Hearing for June 15, 2026 during the regular board meeting. The amendment will be on public display in the Board of Education office for at least 30 days before the hearing.
