During the April 20 meeting the Mendota Township High School District 280 board went into closed session at 7:22 p.m. to review previously closed minutes, discuss personnel and litigation matters, and returned to open session at 8:15 p.m.
Following that executive session, the board approved review and retention of the executive/closed-session minutes from March 16, 2026 and authorized the destruction of verbatim audio records from executive sessions held prior to Nov. 1, 2024, in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120). Motions were made by Jim Lauer and seconded by Jim Strouss and passed on roll call.
