Students honored for state-level competitions; local donor to give to Feed My Starving Children

The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board recognized Students of the Month for May 2026 (Anna Carney, Aarav Anand, Liam Brown and Annabella DeMaio) and celebrated a long list of student accomplishments at state competitions across academics, career and technical student organizations, athletics and the arts.
The minutes list awards and qualifiers including multiple top placements at the Illinois Future Business Leaders of America state competition, SkillsUSA results, IHSA journalism and short film qualifiers, and winners at the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics Division 3AA State Finals. The Board noted that Lemont businessman Brad Grcevic of Edward Jones Inc., "on behalf of the May Students of the Month, will make a donation to Feed My Starving Children." Member Michael Kardas congratulated the students on their achievements.
The recognition segment took place in the Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m.; the minutes provide names, placements and event titles but do not attach monetary awards beyond the referenced donation.
