As staff explained, "1 340,000. Right. And that's how much they'll give us. Okay. So everything above that is on us." Commissioners discussed right-of-way, potential land acquisition (roughly a little over two acres identified), utility relocations (one major utility company expected to need pole moves), and a construction window targeted for spring 2027. Staff said King Construction was the low bidder and had a favorable project history with county bridge and road projects.
Commissioners directed staff to place the bid award and contract paperwork on the next regular meeting agenda for formal action and to continue coordination on right-of-way and utility relocation steps.
