The Illini Central Board of Education accepted the resignation of grade-school teacher Chris Ciaccio at the conclusion of the 2025'26 school year, the board announced after returning from closed session on Dec. 18. Trustee Kent Renken moved to accept the resignation; Amilee Bradshaw seconded and the motion carried 7'0to'00.
The board also approved the employment of certified staff Addison Welsh as a high-school history teacher and Raquel Reynolds as a family and consumer science teacher for the 2026'27 school year. The employment motion was made by Renken and seconded by Bradshaw and passed on a roll-call vote with all trustees voting aye.
