The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board of Education held a public hearing Monday on the district's plan to issue Working Cash Fund Bonds not to exceed $50,000,000 "for the purpose of increasing the working cash fund of the District," Board President Kurt Korte announced.
Board members invited written and oral testimony but recorded that there were none. Member Pam Driscoll moved to adjourn the hearing at 6:02 p.m.; Member Beverly Marzec seconded and the roll call vote was unanimous. "The reason for the proposed issuance of the Working Cash Fund Bonds are for the purpose of increasing the working cash fund of the District," the minutes quote the president as saying during the hearing.
The hearing establishes a public record of the district's intent; the minutes do not show a subsequent final vote to issue bonds on May 11. The Board proceeded to other business, including a closed session and later recognitions and routine approvals. Any formal bond issuance would require subsequent board action consistent with Illinois law and district procedures.
