The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education on Jan. 21 approved a package of routine and facilities items, voting to accept previous meeting minutes and to carry out several capital projects.
On a motion by Mr. Grant and seconded by Mr. Page, the board approved the prior meeting minutes; the roll call recorded two abstentions (Mr. Dougherty and Mrs. Romano) and the remaining voting members in favor. The board also approved Personnel items #2–16 and Finance items #17–29 in separate motions. Business Administrator Sean S. Cranston certified the district's November financial reports before the votes, and the Jan. 17 bill list showed total expenditures of $873,441.42 and payroll of $600,340.17.
The board authorized Ascend Construction Management Inc. to supply and install cafeteria acoustic panels for $49,730.68 (paid from Cafeteria Funds via MOESC Co‑op #289MOESC) and awarded a contract for siding and 87 new windows to the 400 wing at $321,804.06 (Account #11‑000‑261‑426‑214‑0). The board also reviewed JCP&L’s MMBtu Energy Savings program proposal to replace HVAC and lighting; the presentation notes that "Lighting Tier 3 has a cost of $2,742,472.54 after a $1,512,537.23 incentive," while Lighting Tier 1 is listed at $135,927.32 after a $58,311.14 incentive.
Votes were taken by roll call for each packet of items; Mrs. Hickey was recorded as n/a on the roll calls noted in the minutes. The meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
