He described single-subject acceleration as "the most common form," used when students move beyond their current grade level in a single content area.
The Teaching and Learning team is reviewing eligibility benchmarks and academic data—local assessments, IAR and MAP scores—and awaiting a NWEA linking study intended to align MAP growth measures with updated IAR scoring. Dr. Rodrigo said the department aims to present updated advanced-learning plans to principals in June but noted the timeline may extend into the fall to ensure thorough completion.
