The board's Curriculum Committee reported further work on the NMS grading plan and a study of elementary calendar structure.
The minutes state: "Mr. Creason will work with a group staff members to view the current grading policy." Committee members will meet again in February to continue the review; the committee will also study a possible shift from a four-quarter to an elementary-only trimester calendar. The board asked staff to analyze the academic and scheduling implications before any policy change.
No policy change was approved at the meeting; the committee's review and a February follow-up meeting were recorded as the next steps.
