Vice President Sierra Daniels called the Mount Vernon City Schools District 80 board to order March 12 and the board approved a comprehensive consent agenda covering administrative and program items.
The consent motion — "Motion by Reynolds, seconded by Blok, to approve all items under Consent Agenda, as presented." — passed on a roll-call vote with five ayes and two members absent. The approved items included minutes, approval of bills, the treasurer and budget reports, the Consolidated District Plan, a Walden University affiliation agreement, FOIA responses, the FY26 Continuation Grant Application and Change in Scope application, and authorization to submit or amend proposals for ESEA, Rural and Low Income programs, TAOEP, Secretary of State Library Grant, 21st CCLC grants, Maintenance Grant, IDEA Part B, After School Program, Head Start, PreK initiatives and Title I School Improvement.
The action allows district staff to proceed with required applications and budgeting steps for 2026 program year funding and partnerships.
