Lockport SD 91 approves personnel actions; honors staff and student clubs
Summary
The board approved a personnel report and several routine personnel and job-description items and recognized staff and student clubs. Staff and student recognitions included Shining Star nominees, robotics, Best Buddies, reading club achievements and yearbook contest winners.
The board approved the personnel report during the April 14 meeting after a motion by Member Oxley-Turner with a second by Member Arvidson; the roll-call vote was recorded as unanimous. The board also approved certified job descriptions and continued the employment of Mr. Mondrella as assignment chair for 2026–27.
Earlier in the meeting Superintendent Dr. Wilkey and Board member Karina Pinn recognized staff nominated for Shining Star awards. Staff also recognized student groups and achievements: the robotics club, Kelvin Grove (KG) Best Buddies, MG reading club winners and runners-up in the MG yearbook cover contest, and KG students of the month for February and March. The board accepted library book donations to support the KG library.
Personnel-related voting items were handled by roll call and recorded without opposition. The board entered closed session later to address personnel matters under state statute and reconvened in open session at 10:05 p.m.
