Lopp said he applied for a Bair Grant to purchase new body cameras but did not receive the grant. He told the Commissioners he hopes to set aside money in the new budget for body cameras, and noted that with the K‑9 unit not continuing there may be an opportunity to redirect that funding toward cameras; Vice‑Chairman Errol Galt suggested Secure Rural Schools funds as another possible source.
