North Shore SD 112 to unwind operating agreement for Indian Trail garden parcel, remove deed restriction

The Board considered an agreement to unwind a prior operating agreement and donor obligations for the parcel adjacent to Indian Trail School. The district previously received the parcel subject to a 15-year deed restriction limiting its use to "garden purposes."
According to the administration, the parties now agree it is in their mutual best interests to wind down the arrangement. If approved, the operating agreement will terminate on Aug. 31, 2026, and the donor will continue to pay operating costs through that date. Later in the meeting the Board approved the Agreement to Unwind Operating Agreement for Indian Trail Garden, giving the District full autonomy over the parcel once the restrictive covenant is removed.
