During the March 31 special meeting the Board voted on a series of personnel resolutions related to honorable dismissal and reassignment.
Motions were made and seconded for each resolution: Robin Vaughn and John Brotherton led the first of these motions (permanent substitutes) and subsequent motions were made by various Board members as recorded in the minutes. Each resolution carried by recorded vote: Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1 (Katie Johnston). The items addressed honorable dismissal of permanent substitutes; honorable dismissal of part‑time educational support personnel; honorable dismissal of teachers; and a resolution authorizing dismissal and reassignment of educational support personnel to full‑time positions assigned fewer hours and days.
The minutes record the procedural adoption of the resolutions and the voting tallies. The meeting record does not include individual statements explaining each dismissal decision; matters relating to specific personnel details were later handled in closed session, consistent with the Board’s cited statutory exemptions.
