The district is evaluating upgrades to building bell, intercom and phone systems. At the March 23 meeting Dr. Matt Gordon said two companies provided quotes and that one vendor believed new wiring would not be required to preserve existing classroom office call-buttons. That vendor requested to rebid, and Dr. Gordon allowed both vendors to rebid so the district could compare proposals.
Dr. Gordon said retaining office call-button functionality is important "as he noted that they could help in various safety situations," and that May or June would be the optimal time for any implementation if the board receives a formal recommendation. The minutes do not include vendor names, specific costs, or a recommendation for award.
