The Pekin Community High School Board appointed Corry Harris to fill a vacancy and administered the oath of office at the April 27 meeting. The appointment was made under Board policy 2.70 and the motion to close nominations passed unanimously.
Following Harris’ appointment, the board nominated and elected officers for the coming year: Ryan Wrigley as president, Manda Brown as vice president and Terry Fischer as secretary. The motion to nominate the three and close nominations was made by Joe Alesandrini and seconded by Stephen Huey and the vote passed with all members recorded as "Yea." The oath of office for the newly appointed board member was administered by President Wrigley.
The board’s reorganization and appointment complete the current membership and leadership slate for Pekin CSD 303 through the upcoming board year.
