The Palos Heights School District 128 Board of Education convened Dec. 10 and approved its consent agenda after a procedural motion to change the agenda order. Mrs. Lachowicz moved to switch the agenda order; Ms. Rubio seconded and the motion passed by voice vote. The consent agenda included minutes from Nov. 12 (regular and closed session), approval of bills and payroll, review of schools' activity accounts, and authorization to destroy closed-session minute audio as allowable under the Illinois School Code (5 ILCS 120/2.06).
Mrs. Lachowicz moved to approve the consent agenda and Ms. Rubio seconded; the motion passed by roll-call vote with ayes from Mrs. Brienzo, Dr. Facko, Ms. Rubio, Mr. Volk and Mrs. Lachowicz and no recorded nays. The consent items also listed personnel resignations (G. Barlas, part-time custodian, effective Dec. 5, 2025; M. Morrone, part-time social worker, effective Dec. 19, 2025) and the approval of the 2025 final tax levy.
