The Westchester SD 92-5 Board of Education elected Stephanie Boyd to a one-year term as vice president and Rose Ortiz to a one-year term as secretary, both terms expiring in April 2027. President Dana Wesolowski made the nominations and the board cast unanimous ballots for each position.
Wesolowski also appointed board representatives for several external roles: Cynthia Peranich as the board’s legislative and community-relations representative, Dana Wesolowski as the IASB delegate with TiShaunda McPherson as the IASB alternate, TiShaunda McPherson as the Westchester Chamber of Commerce representative, and Rose Ortiz as the West Cook Governing Board representative. The board approved the 2026–2027 meeting calendar on a motion by Jerrid Neal; the president noted the July meeting date was moved one week earlier than previously discussed.
Why it matters: Officer elections and representative appointments determine which board members formally carry district positions and external roles for the coming year, affecting who represents the district at regional meetings and with legislative bodies.
