At the May 12 meeting, Dr. Beverlin presented a tentative budget summary and told the Board the budget is tracking as expected. Kopinski asked whether rising fuel prices were affecting transportation costs; Dr. Beverlin replied that a diesel contract signed before price increases has limited the district’s exposure.
Dr. Beverlin also explained a proposed 457 retirement plan that would be offered to all staff in addition to the current 403(b); the Board was asked to review the information and consider formal approval at the June meeting. The tentative budget materials were distributed in the packet and accompanied by a summary presentation.
