WCHS board adopts Unified Track Team resolution, recognizes state finishers

The Washington Community High School Board of Education unanimously adopted a resolution recognizing its Unified Track Team and acknowledged state-level achievements at its June 8 meeting. Buck moved and James seconded the resolution; the roll call vote was Yes — James, Buck, Funk, Drum, Essig and the motion carried 5-0.
The board also recognized the IHSA State Unified Track Team and singled out Benjamin Gorsage for placing first in the 800 meters at the IHSA State Track & Field Championship. The recognitions were listed under Visitors and Correspondence and recorded by the board secretary in the meeting minutes.
