Salt Creek School District 48 officials on Thursday reviewed a preliminary 2025 property tax levy that staff said the district will need to file with the DuPage County Clerk's Office by the last Tuesday of December 2025. District staff indicated it is the district's intent to levy 4.55% for 2025.
The presentation was given at a tax levy hearing convened at 7:01 p.m. at John E. Albright Middle School in Villa Park. Ms. Jilek reviewed the levy documents and told the board that the district published a legal notice in the newspaper prior to filing with the county clerk's office. There were no public comments during the hearing.
After the presentation, Board President Mr. Cuny asked for a motion to adjourn. Mr. Blair moved to adjourn and Mr. Van De Velde seconded; the motion carried unanimously on a voice vote and the hearing was adjourned at 7:05 p.m. The levy presentation was offered as a preliminary filing step; further board action on a final levy is subject to the district's internal process and any additional notices or hearings required by law.
