Salt Creek SD 48 business official Ms. Jilek reviewed the preliminary 2025 tax levy and indicated the district's intent to levy 4.55% for the year. She told the board the levy must be filed with the DuPage County Clerk by the last Tuesday of December 2025 and that a Truth in Taxation public hearing will be scheduled in conjunction with the December Board meeting; a legal notice will be published in advance.
The board approved a resolution estimating the amounts necessary to be levied and the date and time of the Truth in Taxation hearing. The motion was moved by Mr. Blair and seconded by Mrs. Rattana; the vote was recorded as five yeas and two absences (Mr. Kielminski and Mr. Van De Velde).
