Albright Middle Middle honored after undefeated 7th-grade season; Albright earns Exemplary on

Board members recognized Albright Middle School for an undefeated 7th-grade volleyball season and reported Illinois Report Card ratings, with Albright Middle listed as Exemplary and other district schools rated Commendable.
The Salt Creek School District 48 board formally recognized the Albright Middle School 7th-grade volleyball team during its Nov. 13 meeting after an undefeated season. Dr. Zaher introduced the team and praised their performance: "They made history for AMS by being undefeated, winning their conference, and winning 24 straight sets," he said. Coaches Katie Tumilty and Jody Specht and board member Mr. Dickens also commended the team for teamwork and culture.
Board and district staff also reviewed 2025 Illinois Report Card results presented during the Superintendent's Report. Dr. Martelli and Dr. Zaher said Albright Middle School received an Exemplary rating; Salt Creek Primary and Stella May Swartz were rated Commendable. Staff noted that Stella May Swartz missed an Exemplary rating by 0.24 points on the report card. The recognition and report-card update were recorded during the opening portion of the meeting and require no board action.
