Fire chiefs association reports larger grant pool; firefighters association schedules April symposium

Mike Heidemann of the Nevada State Firefighters Association announced a symposium scheduled for April 17‑18, 2026 in Ely, noted collaboration on an OSHA rewrite and requested letters of interest to fill the vacancy left by Al Drake's passing. Heidemann also said the association is considering a fall symposium on the opposite side of the state.
