Jeremy asked the court for permission to install Flock Safety license-plate cameras in the University Drive right of way in Precinct 2, saying he had spoken with Commissioner Skee Phillips and that the city had also requested cameras in the area. "I contacted commissioner Skee Phillips in which he agreed, to accept those, and I'm asking you guys' permission," Jeremy said.
Commissioners asked whether the devices were county or city installations; staff confirmed they were in the county right of way and that the city had also requested cameras at that intersection. A motion was made and seconded and the court approved the installation.
No funding amounts, vendor contract language, or detailed placement maps were provided in the public exchange during the meeting; the court granted permission to proceed subject to standard staff coordination.
