Dr. Matt Gordon reported that the district's solar power project has encountered delays stemming from an issue Ameren identified after initial plan approval. He said the district has not incurred installation expenses beyond minor legal fees to date but warned that Ameren requires a daylong power shutdown to perform a fix.
Gordon told the board that "the power will need to be shut off for the entire day on June 5th" to complete Ameren's required work and that he could not confirm whether the panels would be able to be turned on immediately after that date. He said he will keep the board updated on timing and any expenses that arise.
