The Prospect Heights School District 23 Board adopted an e-Learning plan on April 9, 2026 to allow the district to use up to five e-Learning days per school year for emergency make-up or closures. Administration presented the plan as compliant with Illinois State Board of Education requirements, describing a mix of live Google Meet instruction and independent work, minimum daily hours and attendance procedures, and accommodations for IEP and EL students.
Dr. Craig Curtis and other administrators told trustees the district’s iPad program and training position the district to verify five clock hours of instruction and to provide accommodations for students who lack home internet access. The minutes record administration’s recommendation: "It is the recommendation of Administration that the Board adopt the e-Learning plan as presented." The board voted to approve the plan, which will be posted on the district website and reviewed annually with staff and bargaining units.
