Texas County commissioners approve routine claims, payroll and appropriations

The Texas County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously June 29 to approve a large batch of departmental claims and the county payroll registers for June. The motion to approve claims and purchase orders was made by Commissioner Dolan Sledge and seconded by Commissioner Levi Bickford; Aye votes were recorded from Sledge, Bickford and Chairman Darrell Edwards.
The approved claims list included multiple departmental payments across General and special funds. Notable items in the voucher list included Garden City Co for $24,111.87 for services, J&R Constructors for $27,555.00 for asphalt, and an Oklahoma State Department of Health entry for $42,106.54 for salaries. The payroll register included named staff and elected officials, for example Aimee Midkiff at $5,205.21 and Darrell Edwards at $5,205.21. The board also approved a Transfer of Appropriation moving $3,071.84 within the General fund into part-time ($752.60), retirement ($713.99) and insurance ($1,605.25) line items.
Chairman Darrell Edwards certified the meeting record at adjournment. The actions keep county operations funded and maintain routine personnel pay and vendor services.
