Board celebrates student achievements and LWSRA partnership at May meeting

Superintendent Dr. Kirsten Frankovich highlighted the district’s partnership with the Lincoln-Way Special Recreation Association (LWSRA) and teacher Chris Coopman for a wheelchair basketball fundraising event that included district PE takeovers to educate students about living with disabilities; Dr. Frankovich noted donations increased from two years earlier and that participants enjoyed the event. Board members Jim Gorecki and Matthew Dusterhoft received pins from the Illinois Association of School Boards recognizing their contributions to the district.
