The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and a roll call before members voted to adopt the July 20 agenda. A motion to approve the agenda was moved by Mister Schulte and seconded by Mister DeBoer; the clerk announced, "Motion carried." (Clerk).
Members then reviewed and approved the July 14 minutes. The clerk said he had suggested a couple of changes to the handbook and that "I had per diem spelled wrong," noting that the version circulated by email might differ from the copy presented. After a motion to accept the minutes was made, the body again approved the motion with verbal ayes.
The approvals were procedural and required no further action. The clerk indicated the handbook edits will be reflected in the version on file; no additional funding or policy changes were proposed during the vote.
