Board selects Elizabeth O'Dell for MASB election vote; asks about ICE policy

Member Owen moved and Member Roberts seconded a motion to cast the district’s 2026 Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) Board of Directors election vote for Elizabeth O’Dell. The board approved the selection by a 4–0 vote.
Member Roberts earlier moved and Member Owen seconded approval of the district's 2025–26 First Budget Amendment, which also passed 4–0. During other business, Member JoAnn DeMeulenaere asked whether the district maintains a Board policy on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); Superintendent Peters responded that the district has an existing Board policy addressing law enforcement matters.
