Belding Area Schools elects officers, affirms bylaws for meeting schedule

At its Jan. 19 organizational meeting the Belding Area Schools Board elected a slate of officers, kept January as the organizational meeting month, and affirmed its regular meeting schedule for third Mondays at 6:30 p.m.
The Belding Area Schools Board of Education met Jan. 19 and approved a slate of officers for 2026, electing Terry Boni as president, Shannon Hummel as vice‑president, Doug Lamborne as secretary and Keven Krieger as treasurer. The motion, made by Mike Baker and supported by Jennifer Lien, was "approved by unanimous voice vote."
The board also approved bylaws preserving January as the month for future organizational meetings and set regular board meetings for the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Orchard Hills Building. Board Secretary Shari McKee will post the meeting schedule. The approvals were taken as routine organizational business and carried without amendment.
