Board reviews IT and facilities purchases; items set for May 19 action

At the May 5 meeting staff presented proposed IT and facilities purchases for board review. Prescott presented IT Department purchases including Title I iPads, CTE/HS laptops, administrative laptops, and security cameras and installation; Luke Cadeau presented Facilities Management equipment purchases including three trucks and two utility Gators. Both presenters noted the items will be moved to action at the May 19, 2026 Regular Meeting.
Trustee Claudia T. Heinrich reported on the Finance/Facilities Committee meeting held May 4 that had reviewed these purchases and the FY27 Oakland Schools Budget Resolution. Board members asked questions; no votes were taken on these procurement items on May 5.
