The board authorized Adrian Mechanical for replacement work at a cost not to exceed $105,200 and approved Knight Watch for commissioning at a cost not to exceed $7,290, for a total not to exceed $112,490. The motion was made by Trustee Keith Pilbeam, seconded by Trustee Patricia Motylinski, and recorded as passing with six votes in favor and one absence.
Superintendent Mr. Leach told the board the boilers are original to the high school and roughly 20 years old, saying the equipment is approaching the end of its useful life. The board agreed the replacement is necessary to maintain reliable heating for school facilities and approved the contract funding in the operational accounts.
