Superintendent outlines staffing, budget and workshop items; board discusses driver recruitment

Mr. Leach also reminded the Board of a CBA Board workshop scheduled for Thursday, March 12, and noted the governor was expected to announce a state budget on Feb. 11. He reported the district is still waiting to hear from the state regarding forgiveness of three snow days. The superintendent conveyed best wishes to Mr. Hawkins on his announced retirement at the end of January 2026.
Board members asked follow-up questions about driver recruitment and thanked Mr. Hawkins for his years of service; Trustee Wilkins specifically praised his work as a ninth-grade teacher.
