The Dundee Community Schools Board voted to adopt a Schools of Choice resolution at the March 9 meeting, choosing to opt out of state Section 105 open enrollment and opt into the Monroe County 105C program that allows out-of-county Schools of Choice with participating counties named as Wayne, Washtenaw and Livingston.
Minutes note the board discussed limitations when a student eligible for special education seeks transfer: the home district must agree to provide special-education services and may refuse, which constrains participation in 105C. The roll-call record shows one entry where Carol Reaume voted Nay on the second recorded motion; other entries record unanimous approval. The motion was made by Tara McKenzie and seconded by Crystal Root.
