Board adopts Volume 40 policy updates, removes 'first year' language in nursing-parent policy

During discussion the board asked that policy 3122 (Pregnancy, Childbirth and Related Medical Conditions) be revised to remove the words "first year" from the sentence that read, in part, "The Board will provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk while at work for the first year after the employee's child's birth." Trustees agreed to the edit and adopted the policy updates as amended.
The motion to adopt the second reading and action was made by Keith Pilbeam and seconded by Tara McKenzie; the motion passed unanimously.
