Ionia County Intermediate School District received a clean financial audit for the 2024–2025 school year during its Nov. 13 meeting. Mackenzie Doyle, CPA, Senior Accountant at Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Advisors, told trustees the review went smoothly and that district staff were well prepared.
"It was a smooth audit and the Business Office was very prepared," Doyle said, summarizing the engagement and stating that no concerns were identified across the audit components. The presentation covered each audit component in detail and concluded without any flagged issues for the district's financial statements or internal controls.
The board discussed the audit as part of its meeting packet; however, the meeting did not reach quorum, and no formal action or vote was taken on the audit report. The audit presentation will be part of the public record and incorporated into the district's financial reports.
