Howell board holds workshop on norms; students perform and report to board

The Howell Public Schools Board of Education convened a workshop on board norms beginning at 5:08 p.m. and reconvened for its regular session at 7:02 p.m. President Conn presided; Trustee Tarara joined the workshop at 6:30 p.m.
Members of Howell High School's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" cast performed a song during the meeting. Student representatives Chloe McCormick, Clair Magro, Joyce Zhang and Abby Harrison reported on high school activities and upcoming events. Superintendent Dr. MacGregor later thanked the student representatives and performers during closing remarks.
The session included district updates: Ms. Ward-Lamb of the Howell Carnegie District Library shared library programming, and Assistant Superintendent Mr. Liu presented an Instructional Services literacy update including reference to NWEA test scores. The meeting continued with routine and action items, including consent approvals and several capital-project votes.
