The Ionia County Intermediate School District Board of Education voted unanimously Dec. 11 to adopt the 2026 Summer Tax Collection Annual Resolution, continuing the district's ongoing summer property tax levy. The resolution authorizes the superintendent or a designee to forward the resolution to each city or township in which the district is located and to negotiate reasonable collection expenses.
According to the written resolution adopted by the board, "this Board of Education, pursuant to 1982 PA 333, hereby invokes for 2026, its previously adopted ongoing resolution imposing a summer property tax levy." The motion to adopt was offered by Member Brian Talbot and supported by Member Randy Masterson; a roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously. The board also appointed Board President Linda Hoxie-Green to sign the resolution in the absent secretary's stead.
