Kirby also told the board the district secured an $816,000 grant through a 35m (as stated in the meeting) award to assist the shift from Units of Study materials to science-of-reading materials, thanking the business and instruction offices for their work. He said new K–6 student-support supervisors will be in place and described STEM pilot programs on the northern side of the district.
