"I just feel that because of the language in this policy does not clearly state that that we would accept all religious objections," Lisa said, urging clarification or tightening of the wording.

Vincent Monahar (public commenter) argued the change gives "regal power to an unelected bureaucrat" and urged the board to restore the 2024 version so the board retains authority. The board discussed administrative forms and training and noted that any new processes would be implemented with guidance to ensure constitutional rights are respected; members agreed further review or potential tightening could follow.
