Board accepts resignations, approves hire and a termination in personnel actions

Resignations approved included Terry Smith (Substitute Teacher & Substitute Bus Driver) and Elisha Carlson (1st Grade Teacher at Olpe Elementary and Assistant High School Volleyball Coach at Olpe High School). The board approved the recommendation to hire Jessica Elliott as the Forensics Sponsor at Hartford High School. The board also approved the termination of Hayleigh Morrow (At‑Risk Aide — Neosho Rapids Elementary). Each motion passed 6–0.
The board additionally reviewed annual job descriptions for the superintendent, principals, teachers, preschool staff, head teacher and district nurse with no changes and listed open positions across the district: Special Education Teacher (Hartford), HHS School Play Sponsor, HHS Forensics Sponsor, EC Para positions at Neosho Rapids and Hartford, Driver Education Instructor and part‑time EC Para positions at Olpe.
These personnel actions were taken in open session following multiple executive sessions held under the Kansas Open Meetings Act related to non‑elected personnel.
