Board approves multiple out-of-state and overnight student trips for summer 2026
Summary
Trustees approved out-of-state and overnight field trips including wrestling camp in Bloomington, IL; basketball camps at Northwood University and Grand Valley State University; and a cross-country trip to Indian River, MI.
The board approved several student travel requests during the Policy & Community committee report. Approved trips include Wrestling Camp in Bloomington, IL (June 23-26, 2026); Basketball Camp at Northwood University (June 12-14, 2026); Cross-Country Team trip to Indian River, MI (Aug. 10-14, 2026); Girls Basketball Team to Grand Valley State University Team Camp (June 26-28, 2026); and Girls Basketball Team to Northwood Team Camp (June 15-17, 2026). Motions to approve the trips were made by Amy Lark and supported by other board members; all motions passed 6-0.
The minutes list dates and destinations for each trip and indicate the motions were presented and approved as part of the Policy & Community committee recommendations. No unusual conditions, extra approvals, or public objections were recorded in the minutes.
