Board approves multiple 2025 bond-funded contracts, including $161,000 tennis-court bid

The Marysville Public Schools Board of Education approved a slate of 2025 Building and Site Bond-funded contracts as part of its consent agenda on April 23. The board accepted district recommendations to award elementary media-center furniture to NBS Commercial Interiors ($272,371.70); asbestos abatement at three elementary schools to Qualified Abatement Services ($83,728.00); elementary paving and sidewalk improvements to Murray Underground Systems ($650,157.00); elementary moving services to Preferred Moving and Storage ($62,645.00); and a partial roof replacement at Washington Elementary to JD Candler Roofing ($513,184.12).
The board also approved bond-fund payments to Clarke Fence ($13,240.00), the State of Michigan (School Building and Site fund bond fee, $7,600.00), and Teltow (Collard Lot clearing, $32,300.00). Jennifer McKay presented the MHS Tennis Court Project bid results and the board approved awarding the tennis-court contract to Goddard Sports Surfaces for $161,000.00 from 2025 bond proceeds.
