The Paw Paw Public Schools Board convened a special meeting on June 22, 2026, and after a closed-session evaluation, approved Superintendent Davison's performance appraisal, with Board President Brent McNitt announcing the superintendent received an EFFECTIVE evaluation. The motion to approve the evaluation was made by Maria Bowater, supported by Mary Beth Sons, and recorded as carried 5-0.
The board went into closed session at 4:01 p.m. "for the Superintendent's Evaluation and Negotiations," returning to open session at 5:32 p.m. The minutes list Superintendent Davison, A Clark and R Green (MASB consultant) as present for the closed session. The record shows trustees Maria Bowater, Thomas Imus, Brent McNitt, Nathan Mitchell and Mary Beth Sons voted in favor; trustees Lindsay Clark and Ray Martin were listed as absent for the meeting.
The board took formal action immediately after the closed session to approve the evaluation "as presented." The meeting adjourned at 5:40 p.m. following a motion by Nathan Mitchell, seconded by Maria Bowater, which the minutes record as carried 5-0. The meeting record includes a signature line signed as "Ray MANG Martin, Board Secretary" and also lists Ray Martin as absent earlier in the minutes; the transcript contains this inconsistency.
