Long-serving board member reflects on two decades of service; facilities and calendar items noted

A long-serving trustee delivered a reflective farewell address about more than 20 years on the board, noted improvements in district finances and student achievement at early grades, and encouraged the board as it transitions to new members. The trustee said the district was "in pretty good shape financially" and referenced past experience and changes in leadership.
Superintendent Shaw closed with calendar notes: a two-hour late start the next day and the next regular board meeting scheduled for Jan. 14, 2025 (work session at 6 p.m., organizational meeting at 7 p.m.). He also noted January would be board-appreciation month and previewed two new board members slated to join in January.
