Board approves new dean-of-transportation hire, several new staff introduced

The board approved a new dean-of-students (transportation) position and appointed Trista Geier as district dean of transportation, effective 2024-12-11.
Missus Flynn, the human-resources representative, asked the board to approve the position and to appoint Trista Geier. "We're asking the board to move to approve the appointment of Trista Geier as district dean of transportation effective 12/11/2024," Flynn said. The motion to appoint was moved and approved on roll call.
New hires were introduced by Flynn and were invited to identify themselves at the podium. Chip Jackson told the board he is moving into a dean-of-students role after 13 years of service and said, "I'm the dean of students at Custer Elementary School, and I'm recently been offered a position in Monroe Public Schools as dean of students." Britney Clino identified herself as the district BCBA and said she was placed at Custer and Manor; Jaden Humphrey introduced themselves as a restorative-practices analyst.
Board members congratulated the hires and said the group photo would follow the meeting. The appointment of Geier and the other hires complete the staffing actions the board considered during the session.
