Board informed of Chartwell's cost-reimbursement contract renewal for 2026–27

Jennifer McKay reported that the district's food service cost-reimbursement contract with Chartwell's will continue for the 2026–27 school year under the previously approved four-year renewal.
McKay said this will be "year two of the four-year approved renewal received in 2024-25 after a bid" and added that the cost-reimbursement contract has been approved by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). She said Board approval will be requested at the regular meeting on May 21, 2026.
No substantive changes to the contract were described in the informational meeting; staff noted the item will appear for formal approval next week.
